In the CatLiq®-technology organic matter is treated through carefully managed process with high temperature and high pressure, and with the presence of catalysts. Hereby the material is converted into a green oil which is directly comparable to known fossile fuels. The CatLiq®-technology functions in the same way as the processes in nature that created the earth's oil reserves.

SCF Technologies was established in 2003 through a management buy-out of a high pressure technology platform from the FLS Group.
