SCF Technologies A/S has developed the CatLiq ^® process, which is able to convert waste and biomass into a cost competitive green crude oil substitute which may be used for heat and power production or further refined into transportation fuel.

Unlike existing combustion and gasification technologies that are best suited for dry waste and biomass, the CatLiq ^® technology is able to generate energy from wet waste and biomass containing more than 50% water.

The CatLiq ^® process has a high feed flexibility and is able to use a number of low or non-value inputs like sludge from waste water treatment, manure from livestock production as well as residues from food processing, ethanol production and bio-diesel production. Feeds may be used separately or in a mix.
